now ended settles over us
a blanket laid out to watch the stars
that never appeared.

Oh, how I agree with Allan and you, and we all live in different parts of the country. It was not a good year for the vegetable garden. But everything else seemed to thrive. It’s quite strange. But here in the Mid Atlantic, we should not complain. Allan has to withstand drought and smokey skies and heat. Happy Photo Challenge.

Those smoky skies have kept me inside a few days, too. There is promise of Rain coming but not soon enough for my garden. I’m just trying to keep the lemon tree alive.

I like the title of this post. Fall can’t come soon enough. Soon, the wind will stop blowing at the delta and you bay area folks can enjoy some warm sunny days.
