May All Who Have Been Marginalized Find Refuge In The Arms of Love
Last Year’s Gay Pride Parade
At Church today people kept asking me if I was okay because I kept sniffing. I thought I just had a cold until I started putting this post together when the tears started flowing . I usually post pictures of silliness every Sunday for Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge, I can’t do that today in face of the 50+ lives lost in Florida. I am offering photos from last Year’s Pride Parade that may be funny but have a deeper message.
Also, At Church ( U U Church of Berkeley ) we were ask to spend a moment sending thoughts and prayers for Courage to all who are marginalize. Afterwards a gay man sang Elton John’s Can You Feel The Love Tonight?
Listening to it soothe my soul a little bit hope it does the same for you.
This is a sweet tribute. It is also a fun odd ball all at the same time.

I hope so. I pray to the Goddess love is felt. I am wondering how this post will be accepted. But it was important to do.
Thanks for your love.

Such a horrible tragedy in Florida–hateful. Back in the early 90’s I worked home care for UCSF–I was on the IV team in the Castro. It’s a wonder I didn’t rear-end anyone or wipe out a pedestrian during the parade as I made my way to patients. Thoughts and prayers to all affected by the shooting and for that matter all who are still victims of such discrimination.

Thank you Thank you for sharing your experience of the Castro. The Band pic was taken by my straight Daughter who lives in the Castro. They chose to live there because it’s a really safe place to live. Or was.
Praying it stays that way.

Just had to do something! Things change so fast…Just last Sunday we were playing on the beach and eating pie and laughing. I hope we can find our way back to joy.

It is big news here too. I find it so sad that we are all God’s children yet some find an excuse to marginalize and discriminate others.

How we stay whole in face of such devistation is our challenge.

It is so sad to think this kind of hatred still exists in this day and age… We are all God’s children…

Yes. We must deal with mental illness better, too.
