As I shot this grape leaf yesterday I was admiring the light and color, but also the topography created by its structure. Rivers and valleys, mountains and planes. All within the landscape of a leaf. I believe this is what Weekly Photo Challenge is asking for suggesting Structure.
I love the leaf, Carol, but my favorite part is always the curling bits that attach to other plants or just create lovely designs in space. 🙂

Yes those curing bits always seem so friendly. I was letting people notice and comment on them without my prompting. Good eye Janet

Your post has made me look at leaves in a new way. Next time, I will look for the rivers and valleys, the uplands and the lowlands. Thanks!! (Plus, love the colors, but sad summer is ending too soon)

Summer is just beginning I hope. Warm and fog free for a few days over here. My daughter is in your neighborhood now so foggy. Thanks.

VERY TRUE. I am in the Sunset, and have had 6 weeks of dripping fog every single day.
