when I taught high school art at San Pedro High I noticed strange marks on my classroom door. I was to finally learn because my room was centrally located the surfers used it to communicate about tide conditions and when they would “hit the waves”. The surfers in 6th period were absent a lot needless to say. 🏄🏼‍♂️
