Can’t resist these silly flamingos holding up last years sweat peas for red and pink week.
This year I put in blue and lavender for their scent.
No matter what color sweat peas make
me think of my grandmother’s garden.
I am sure she had corn and zinnias, too
but the riot of veining sweat peas is all I remember.
Oh and prairie sunbonnet made of gingham
with a cereal box brim. Sweat peas evoke
fond memories of Kerlisa Jane Camp
a name as sweat to me as the flowers she grew.

I love sweetpeas, i think because I often have seen them growing in wild and crazy masses of confusion and so filled with beauty.

I love sweet peas so much that I even have sweet pea wallpaper on my downstairs room. I have had incredible success growing them some years, and then failures other years. Your red theme is wonderful!!!

Wow sweet pea wallpaper, that gets a happy face :). My luck is often spotty too.
Maybe it gets too hot too soon?
