Hands Up

After encountering this Samba Dancer enticing the crowd to raise their arms and dance I it occurred to me I ought to become my own cheerleader. Say “yes I can do…” or ” good job..”. to myself through out the day. I told my fiend and Coach, Jan McClain, about this and she said, ” well did you know there has been a lot of studies about positivity”. Terns out you need to make three positive statements a day to drive away one negative or dark though. Since it is just about Fall Equinox when they days grow darker now would be a good time to start focusing on your own light, or we might even say shining a light on your own light.

Yea me! for having such a good idea. Let me hear your cheers. In the link below the author gives ways to keep and inventory of your positives versus the negatives. Give yourself Likes!

  1. I so wish we were taught at a young age — it is OK to be your own cheerleader, then it wouldn’t seem so false or prideful … it should be a nurturing act of self-kindness. Thank you for sharing this gem of truth! 😀
