A Note
Life is the only way
to get covered in leaves,
catch your breath on the sand,
rise on wings;to be a dog,
or stroke its warm fur;to tell pain
from everything it’s not;to squeeze inside events,
dawdle in views,
to seek the least of all possible mistakes.An extraordinary chance
to remember for a moment
a conversation held
with the lamp switched off;and if only once
to stumble upon a stone,
end up soaked in one downpour or another,mislay your keys in the grass;
and to follow a spark on the wind with your eyes;
and to keep on not knowing
something important.~ Wislawa Szymborska ~

Poetry may be written in black and white but it adds color and texture to our life.
What add texture to your life?
What add texture to your life?
For me it’s laying in the grass, dogs and chickens.

I believe this post is worthy of Becca’s Nurturing Thursday which I have been neglecting lately. go see her too.

B&W pictures bring back memories of “the olden days”. lol
Always enjoy them. The dog in the first picture reminds me of the dog that was in most of the “Little Rascals” episodes. Always loved them. (Actually I have all of them on tape) Sounds like me doesn’t it. Hope you got my email the other day.

Who wouldn’t love to be nurtured with this kiddo’s warm fur — and reading “his monologue”! Thank you for combining the two, and linking up to Nurturing Thursday!! ❤

I enjoyed this poem — a gentle, inspirational reminder not to worry about mistakes because they are a natural part of life’s pattern — and very well matched to the dog pic! 🙂

I like it when things come together like that too. The poem showed up in my inbox today so i had to pass it on.

Hi Carol, this dog seems a funny dog with the black spot around his eye. Nice poem, viewing the life with the simplicity of a dog.

Good example of the whimsy of Mother Nature.

We often wonder what our adopted dog is thinking, Carol ~ her expressions and seemingly random actions make us laugh every day. She also reminds me not to take life so seriouslly, to just get out there, with her by my side, and enjoy! Great Nurturing post ~ my contributions have been a bit sketchy of late, too. 🙂
