The rose is beautiful—a living rainbow.
The rhyme that I remember as a kid in South Florida was, “Red & Yellow, kill a fellow. Red & Black, friend of Jack.” It was a reminder that the poisonous Coral snakes were quite similar in color to the non-lethal King snakes.
