My photos for Sunshine’s Macro Monday and AA Photo A Week Cropping Challenge Worked well together to create interesting images of my cactus flower that bloomed this week.

Crop 1 to remove excessive background. Out of focus nasturtiums aren’t that interesting.
Crop 2 Looking closer we can even see the pollen in this macro image.
Folks have been sharing their photos of their blooming cactus on the local Neighborhood news letter. Each one as surprised as I was by this gift of Mother Nature. There never seems to be a particular time of year this cactus blooms. I had one bloom on Christmas.
