Lens Artist Challenge illustrate a favorite Quote or Poem
April 2020 early in lockdown I created this illustration of a Favorite Mary Oliver poem “Praying”from a photo taken on an isolated outing. It seemed all we could do at that time was pray.

The weed in a vacant lot.

Thank you for this challenge gave me chance to reflect life then and now. And how the world has or hasn’t changed.
A lovely Mary Oliver. A beautiful serene capture. And sentiments still very much relevant today … just a different crazy.

It is beautiful. The words and the image fit perfectly together. And yes, the world is not what it used to be – and it is getting worse. We will never forget the pandemic, and in my part of the world so many wars are finishing both people and countries, animals and plants. I will rest in your “Praying” – it is calming. Thank you.
