I’m joining Becky’s Monday May 20 Portrait Square by celebrating a a cute little brown butterfly, No bigger than a dime.
You would think the Umber aSkipper was a moth because it’s so small but it has the requisite antenna to be considered a butterfly. Wikipedia says:
Lon melane, also known as the umber skipper, is a butterfly of the family Hesperiidae. It is found in California (west of the Sierra Nevadadivide), southern Arizona, Baja California, the highlands of Mexicoand Central America.[2] The habitat consists of desert foothills, grassy areas, streamsides, roadsides, yards, parks and open oak woodland.
And My backyard where I zoomed and cropped to capture this fuzzy square image of this sweet little visitor.
Such precious captures you have here!
