Bear Fountain As Promised.
It seems appropriate that this mascot of UC Berkeley, the home of the 60’s free speech movement, be the post that I blacked out yesterday in protest of internet censorship.
My simple messages of light and hope could be in jeopardy because it crosses international boundaries.This may change how I approach my content. Yes I still want to post pretty pictures of flowers and sunshine but I also want to dig deeper to figure out how to represent ideas like freedom and truth with my original art work, poetry and stories. I know these traffic circle bears have stood for a century years, even after being n over by a truck, so for now I will take inspiration from their steadfast ways and tenacity and do my bit to help the World Wide Web stay free.
