With it’s sharp points like cupids arrow

the prickly pear proves you quit a hero

when you offer your amour

a stem quit narrow.

You braved the spikes and spines

But soon you will dine

On fruit sweet and divine.

After a while the sting will subside

and the tears once cried

you won’t have to hide

as she takes you on a magic carpet ride.
