This is the Day!
Field Notes
April 3, 2013
Hummingbird dangles
beneath fuchsia’s
bright parasol.
A jeweled ornament
in the back garden.
Gone now
like the dew
in the sun.
Let us drink
this sweet beauty
and sing a short
song of remembering.
Let us now spin
around the back garden
beneath invisible
whirring wings.
For this is the day
we know why
the earth spins
and the stars
hang
in the sky!

Lynn, did you notice the previous post, the reblog? That is my first attempt at a video of bird sounds.
So glad you liked this one!

I did, Carol, (loved it) but it didn’t take me to your page, so I put a like on it but I don’t think it went back to you.

Good to know. I’m trying out doing a blog of my street photograph and reblogging it to light words. Maybe it isn’t working so well. Any way your post from last week inspired my video, thank you.
