As long as I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area it has always struck me as a betwixt and between area. Having two distinct sides San Francisco in the West and then where I live the East Bay with a great bay in between the two. Water and earth, big city and small towns all coming together to create a grand place to live.
Weekly Photo Challenge Between Between. Capture something in the middle of two things.
Which photo captures Between best for you?
I like your photo of the sun between the towers of the Golden Gate Bridge. If you go to the Sunset Sundial Project website ( http://www.sunsetsundial.org/ ) you can find out where and when to go to capture the sunset behind the GGB all year round.

I’m in Albany so that’s where I measure from. But cool idea I was just thinking of the Bridge as a sundial. There is an actual sundial on a hill at Caesar Chavez park in the Berkeley Marina. Thanks Allen

During the GGB’s 75th Anniversary celebrations there were mirrors installed on the top of each tower and people could send in a location/date/time of day for the mirrors to rotate and reflect the sun—making the towers appear to have candle flames atop each side from that point-of-view.

Those houses have space between them. Most houses in San Francisco have no space between them! I bet you would find lots of pretties for a house like that. First you would need a million + dollars 😀

love all the details of the house in the first picture. I could see myself standing there taking shots of it as well.

I thought of you while I took a picture of a fancy door across the street from this house but it came out too dark. It was cold and windy typical SF summer.
