They’re All Dressed up for Carnival A Little Early?
Up close these elderly zucchini leaves became otherworldly beings with a little Capture + magic. Maybe I’ve gone over the top with the captions but, after all, whimsy is one of this blog’s prime directive.
Before they leave
it seemed the right thing to do,
to put on make up
show off maybe dance around
which leafs are apt to do
when the sun
spends less time
showing off his fancy
footwork in the sky.
What do you think, did it work?

Great Minds Presented in connection with Lens and Pens Macro Challenge which this week also, looks at autumn leaves.

Amazing that how closely you look at some things makes such a difference to our perception of their beauty.

I had a friend who lamented that people do not become more beautiful and colorful as they age like the autumn leaves do!

Hey, I’m elderly too, but I sure don’t look as pretty as those leaves.
