An Artistic Statement in my Garden
I was, and still am a big fan of The Oldest Hippie Bob Ross and his painting demonstration show “Joy of Painting” on PBS. When my daughter was home sick from school and miserable, she would ask to watch the painter man. If nothing else his calm voice would lull her to sleep. For those who haven’t had the experience here he is from YouTube Land.
I’d Love to know if you have seen Bob Ross before or is he new to you?

I like this photo. I used to watch his show all the time. Talk about one gentle person. I took a class with someone who taught his technique. I still have my painting.

Genental soul indeed! Did you know he started out in the Armed forces and became an artist to counteract that part of himself?

I used to love to watch his painting shows. I learned some valuable techniques and loved when he said, you can put a mountain or tree anywhere you want, or that’s where that tree lives, etc. Taken too soon!
