Who remembers learning the names of all the clouds in school? In Oklahoma where I grew up, I swear we learned clouds identification before the alphabet. Well almost. Anyway, we had to learn cumulonimbus  so we know to run for cover when we saw on turn dark green-black because a tornado was on the way. We don’t see many of those out here in California. Probably why so many of us Okies come our here. I’m not sure of the names of all these clouds so I made one up for the cloud below.

  1. I really like the Oakland Skyline photo, Carol. Those horsetail clouds were an omen of snow in the high country during the Fall and Winter when we lived in the high desert of Western Colorado.
