A clever entry for the challenge, Carol. Thanks for the reminder about the first day of Spring, we will commence our search for tomatoes for this year’s garden.

I always go for Sungold tomato. Little orange ones that grow like mad in my foggy yard. Are you going for the black ones again?

The Sungolds were a big hit with us last year, so they are on the list along with the San Francisco Fog tomatoes (from Kawahara nurseries). Home Depot or OSH usually have them.

I thought Sungold was SF fog tomatoe I’ll look for those. My lilacs bloomed today as if on a timer with the season.

I just double-checked our tags from last year. Our cherry tomatoes were Sunsugar, not Sungold. The SF Fog tomatoes are good for cloudy, cool areas. We put ours in a spot where they get a lot of afternoon shade and they are fine. We get tomatoes into late October/early November.

I know I’ve had homegrown tomatoes for Thanksgiving I think sun sugar and Sungold are closely related.
