We have. Japanese girl staying with us. It seems basil is typical for her. Like a potato chip. The best was pumpkin squash Tempura. Very sweet like candy.
No – but I have put in an order to my husband who does all the cooking. He didn’t have the right flour but will make it for me soon. He does his own tempura but has never done basil.
The Japanese Tempura mix is flour and backing soda. I had never seen those big Japanese Basil leaves. I’m discovering a whole new world right around the corner from us. There’s a “not too hot” crunchy garlic sauce we put on everything.
wow – wow – this is simply beautiful….

The photo of the rose in the succulents is a beauty, Carol. How was the tempura? It seems like an interesting preparation for Basil.
