Needing to distract myself from the chaos of the news I placed Guan Yin in the morning light on what is laughingly known as the “Art table.” It has become cluttered chaos from all the succulents that have brought in from the rain and cold, as well as, unhoused shiny things. (I am part magpie). It did sooth me to be in the presence and photograph the Goddess of Compassion in this light. I hope viewing her enlightened presence does the same for you .

The name Guan Yin also spelt Guan Yim, Kuan Yim, Kwan Im, or Kuan Yin, is a short form for Kuan-shi Yin, meaning “Observing the Sounds (or Cries) of the (human) World”. In Chinese Buddhism, Guan Yin is synonymous with the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, the pinnacle of mercy, compassion, kindness and love.
Serendipity- I’ve spent the day creating calm out of the chaos of our shared study. This is the perfect way to finish

Same thing here. I won’t let my husband climb the ladder without someone besides me to spot him. So there they sit. Where’s all the company we had at Christmas 🤗
