Sessions,Originally from San Francisco Bay Area, educated at UC Berkeley in 1881 Kate Sessions eventually moves to San Diego where she known as the “Mother of Balboa Park” In here work as a botanist she travel extensively searching for plants to bring back to the park “Among many other plant introductions, she is credited with importing and popularizing the jacaranda, now very familiar in the city” and the rest of California. Jacaranda are a familiar street all around where I live Each spring we go on Jacaranda hunts I thought I had missed out this year until I came upon these beauties 3 blocks from home.

One last look at Miss Kate Sessions
What a treat she introduced. I adore jacaranda, and always a enjoy a spring trip to Spain and Portugal, as it’s not a treat I get at home.
