Shirley Anita Chisholm (née St. Hill; November 30, 1924 – January 1, 2005) was an American politician, educator, and author.[1] In 1968, she became the first black woman elected to the United States Congress,[2] and she represented New York’s 12th congressional district for seven terms from 1969 to 1983. In the 1972 United States presidential election, she became the first black candidate for a major party’s nomination for President of the United States, and the first woman to run for the Democratic Party‘s presidential nomination.
Here’s more Perspectives on folding chairs . They have become the furniture for the pandemic. The front and back yard have become the new parlor. We keep a folding chair in the car in case we want to stop by a friends house to visit.



After all these years People of Color are still asking for a place at the table….

So happy you listened to the song and saw the video. I was a kid when the lunch counter sit-ins were happening. What’s happening in Portland where peaceful protesters are being grabbed off the streets by unidentifiable soldiers is terrifying!
