Shirley Anita Chisholm (née St. Hill; November 30, 1924 – January 1, 2005) was an American politician, educator, and author. In 1968, she became the first black woman elected to the United States Congress, and she represented New York’s 12th congressional district for seven terms from 1969 to 1983. In the 1972 United States presidential election, she became the first black candidate for a major party’s nomination for President of the United States, and the first woman to run for the Democratic Party‘s presidential nomination.
Here’s more Perspectives on folding chairs . They have become the furniture for the pandemic. The front and back yard have become the new parlor. We keep a folding chair in the car in case we want to stop by a friends house to visit.
After all these years People of Color are still asking for a place at the table….

So happy you listened to the song and saw the video. I was a kid when the lunch counter sit-ins were happening. What’s happening in Portland where peaceful protesters are being grabbed off the streets by unidentifiable soldiers is terrifying!
It’s scary watching from here. Just can’t get my head around what is happening in this century in your country.
