So the last week of July and Square Perspectives begins. A wild turkey had made themselves at home in my yard. They do dig up the vegetable patch but I’m charmed by their visits. Here’s my perspective of Socializing with Turkeys

They look quite tame, Carol? Are they?

This will take off if i get too close and the biggest toms have been known to attack. So not too tame. I’m photographing from behind kitchen windows

Turkeys that attack? Wow, I thought they were pretty docile creatures. They sound a bit like geese, then?

Not as bad a geese but on rare occasions the big boys get feisty. I hide just so they stay longer.

Good idea. Then you can photograph them.

oh wow! I’ve only seen wild turkeys once in the US and that was from a distance, been an obsession of mine. Going to have to visit you next time I’m in the USA

Oh you are welcomed to come. We may have a guest room by then! You could sit in the kitchen and turkey watch. We have the mom and 3 chicks living in the walnut tree out back. They are my pets even if they dug up my green beans today. Cuteness wins 😍
