We had corn muffins almost every morning when I was a girl. They never taste as good now as they were in my mother’s kitchen.

Wish our moms were alive. We could have a pie-off. I have never tasted better pies than my mother’s. Thin perfect shiny crusts–she smeared egg white over the top when they were about done.
