Trees Get Around

Becky’s Square Tree post the other day had a branch from beautiful pink tree from Portugal that looked very familiar to me. Cercis …something she said the name was. I looked up the scientific name for the redbud tree out my kitchen window and sure enough it was a Cercis Occidental. Western Redbud.

These are the state flowering tree of Oklahoma where I grew up. I planted this one in my yard in California after my parents passed years ago. Now it’s a beautiful being outside my window. Amazing how nature gets around.
