Yes, our local Farmers Market is up and running here in S.E. Oklahoma too. Been getting a lot of fresh corn-on-the-cob, tomatos, okra (yum, fried okra), green beans with new potato’s, and on and on. Last summer we didn’t get much because of the high temperatures. Everything burned up.
It makes me think of that huge garden my dad and uncle had at Tonkawa every summer. All that good fresh stuff!! M’mmmm good.
Some of sweetest images and memories of Oklahoma is the gardens. I was always sorry there wasn’t much room on Ponca Ave for garden except your giant okras.
excellent. oh and yummy too.
