Ntozake Shange Playwright who gave us “For Colored Girls Who…” also gives us a look at what it means to be a poet.   Here’s what my friend Lonnie says about her gifted cousin Darold Holloway who brings these inspiring words to life:

My wonderful cousin, Darold Holloway, is an accomplished actor living here in the Oakland, CA area near me. I didn’t meet my cousin, Darold, until i was in my 30’s and he is my heart. He’s waiting for a kidney transplant and while waiting is teaching college students the art of acting. Tyler Perry is looking for actors, singers, writers at his Audition competition. I commissioned one of the best videographers I know, Kai Shuman, to film Darold doing this piece from Ntozake Shange’s “Spell #7” to submit for the audition. Go cousin Darold!!!. I am so glad you’re in my life. Please check out Darold’s audition and give a vote for him, when you get a chance. Thanks everyone. — Lonnie

Give Darold a Like on youtube and good job Kai too! Thank You everyone, Carol
