Day 1
I have a few left over pictures I didn’t post for The Weekly Photo Challenge Green: In Northern California November is when the rainy season begins and everything Greens Up! For this I am grateful it means fire season is over and the garden can begin to grow. Please feel free to share your gratefuls too, all week leading up to US Thanksgiving Day.

George is a good foil for the green leaves and limes on the tree!
I’m grateful for meeting new friends and learning things from other bloggers!

Love the flamingo – but George would be happier with Gracie.

Opps I should have said Gracie is just out of the picture on the other side of the lime. Maybe he’s even trying to get to her. I’ll post their family portrait soon 😉

Makes me jealous. Having things green this time of year in Oklahoma . . . . . forget that. Will be kind of drab around here until spring now. But then when spring comes it really makes us appreciate what we have in our gardens. But would like to have it like yours all the time. lol

Hey so did you watch the PBS special about the Dust Bowl? I kept watching for relatives. Those old farmers looked a lot like people we knew growing up.
We are brown in the summer it took some getting use to when I first got here.

Brown in the summer . . . that would be hard to get used to. lol But . . . this dry summer things here were pretty brown too.
We probably did know some of those old farmers. Probably were our relatives. I’m just glad it was them and not me that had to go thru that. Tough times!!
