I captured this image Saturday setting up for our churches Christmas craft sale. I stepped out on to the patio and this vision appeared. I have beed trying to think what song goes with it. Several Christmas Carols come to mind but then I started thinking about the dramatic works of Leonard Cohan and it is Hanukkah. What do comes to mind for you?

Absolutely gorgeous photo. We have been having wonderful clouds in the Bay Area right now. Not something we get very often!!! The song that comes to me is “when you walk through a storm, keep your head up high” I used to listen to that over and over when I was in a period of deep despair. What is the name of that song??? I forget.

Carol I ran around all weekend sticking that picture in peoples faces . It makes me so happy you “fathom” its wonder. That song is from Sound of Music. The nun sings it to Maria about falling in love I believe. The clouds around here have been spectacular!

How about Leonard Cohen’s “Going Home”?
Going home
Without my sorrow
Going home
Sometime tomorrow
Going home
To where it’s better

Fabulous I didn’t think of that one. It certainly suggests being lifted up. 🙂

Great pic, Carol. Love this shot with the Golden Gate in the distance. I heard K.D. Lang’s version of Leonard Cohen’s “Halleluah” in my head and also Miles Davis’ “Kind of Blue”

When I first looked at the image it reminded me of a ghost. What came to mind was Casper the Friendly Ghost. He had a Christmas song (or a book) called Casper’s First Christmas. Going way back on that one Carol. Really a beautiful picture though!!

BEAUTIFUL!!!
The song, okay, two songs…the first is The Hallelujah Chorus, the second is Mylon LeFevre’s song, “Crack The Sky”. Two complete ends of the music spectrum, I suppose. LOL, variety, the spice of life! 🙂
