Once long ago
a stone arch
oak planks
skillful hands
built a window.
Today we can
say thank you
for light
on the other side
of the wall.
What wisdom have the ancestors left for you that is needed today?

Finding and making sources of light in this dark time of the year . . . that goes back through eons of ancestors! And can be applied in times of emotional darkness, too.

One of the things my ancestor’s left me with was “it’s hell to get old”. lol
But seriously, a lot of things they did and said really meant a lot. The way they had to work, the family values, the love in the family and their love for God. They were strong and wise. I hope our kids have learned something from us!!! Some do, and some don’t in this world now, but it is our responsibility to try!!! And that said, I would like to wish your and your family, and your “blog family’s” a very Merry Christmas.
