When I first moved to Berkeley I could see The Temple of the Winds (the home and school of the dancer Isadora Duncan) from my bedroom window. It was lit up at night and shone like a magic fairy castle on the hill above me. I could never find it when I drove to where I thought it was. Yesterday my friend and I found it with the help of the handy Pocket Guide to Berkley Architecture. We had to use a little stealth to acquire this picture, pretending to be lost up the “privet do not enter” driveway. I’m happy I did. You can almost see her sprightly form swirling up theses steps. Shall we dance around with this Isadora Duncan like dancer.
Now for the real Isadora with a sad picture at the end.
Oh, this was just incredible. Thank you for sharing it. I must go see the Temple of the Winds!!!
