I want to be dancing like this by June
I want to be dancing like this by June

Right now I am a very cocked lady,

my gate is all splayee.

When I walk I can’t go a mile or a block,

before my hips do lock.

Doctor G. hear this plea from my lips:

Please give new hips!

And make it quite soon

I want to be dancing

by June.

Third Times the Charm

the third day of NaPoWriMo, I challenge you to write a charm – a simple rhyming poem, in the style of a recipe-slash-nursery rhyme. It could be a charm against warts, or against traffic tickets. It could be a charm to bring love, or to bring free pizzas from your local radio station.  I Asking for new hips.

I have been waiting a long time for my hip replacement a Charm is just the medicine I need to get me dancing by June!

It is all about positivity and intention and rhyming helps 🙂

    1. It must have worked, like a charm, 😉 I got a date within an hour.
It is a healing charm. Now I need to write one to keep away the pain…something that rhymes with rain perhaps.

      1. tee hee! Please let me know the one for keeping away pain. I’m running a marathon in a little over a week and my feet are held together by pins… It’s either a charm or morphine that I need!

        1. How’s this:

Pooky need to run a long ways
          in about seven days
She does’t care if she wins
after all her feet are held together with pins
All she asks is that after race
          she has a smiling face
and then takes a big soaking bath
          so all the pain
          down the drain!

          Many blessings,

          Edit as you please 😉

  1. Oh my dear… you will be soooooo happy! I had a hip replacement and not only am I dancing, but for the first time I am actually doing a little jogging around the park (I have a post coming out on Sunday about this). It’s gleeful!!!!!! Let me know how it’s going! Is it both hips? Is the surgery scheduled? I love your charm!
