San Francisco Bay Looking toward The Golden gate Bridge

Nighttime photography is easy this time of year because there are so many more hours of dark. Every year on the Solstice I have made a practice of photographing the sun setting behind the Golden Gate Bridge. From the East side of the Bay the sun sets in the center of bridge on the Solstice. This year there was no bridge or sun. Just fog and low tide-the lowest of the year. I thought it was time to play the panorama setting so I would have something to show for 2014 Solstice Sunset.

And one of over processed Christmas lights for contrast.

    1. That street is a three block long shopping area which is rare in the Giant SF Bay Area. It feels like a small town, which I like.a lot.
Well one more photo Challenge 😉

    1. You must have to stay up late to enjoy the Christmas lights? For us it is a very dark solstice because it is a new moon too.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
