Olive The Other Reindeer
Ho! Ho! Ho! I Couldn’t resisti a visual pun on Christmas Eve!
Many myths abound around animals visiting the manager on Christmas eve and perhaps even speaking… Who knows what can happen on these long winter’s nights…we can put on masks and become something we’re not, or who we really want to be in the dark..
We disguise objects in boxes and tinsel to be unwrapped, symbolizing the mystery unfolding as days grow longer and the light returns…
What are you hoping to discover in the new-born light?
Who Is guiding your sleigh tonight?

San Francisco Bay Looking toward The Golden gate Bridge
Nighttime photography is easy this time of year because there are so many more hours of dark. Every year on the Solstice I have made a practice of photographing the sun setting behind the Golden Gate Bridge. From the East side of the Bay the sun sets in the center of bridge on the Solstice. This year there was no bridge or sun. Just fog and low tide-the lowest of the year. I thought it was time to play the panorama setting so I would have something to show for 2014 Solstice Sunset.
And one of over processed Christmas lights for contrast.
