Weekly Photo Challenge Shadows suggested for this week’s Photo Challenge, find the shadows, I found I had been making shadow selfies on New Years Day for the last few years. Here’s a couple. It’s a wonderful day to be out and about because late afternoon light comes early, 3:30 or 4,making it easy to capture long shadows before dinner.
What New Years Day traditions do you have?
I’m smiling because I enjoy “selfies” of this type, too.

When I saw the first photo my first thought was . . . . what is Carol doing on the moon?? Then I did notice some vegation so I decided you weren’t on the moon. Really great photos Carol.

Many of the photos at Pt. Lobos looked like the surface of the moon…Good observation, Neal. Be careful someone might think you are a photographer 😉

Such a cool idea, Carol! I hope to embrace this practice next year – or perhaps on the solstice this summer 🙂

Yes! I mark both Solstices with photographs especially the long shadows…lovely way to stay in touch with Mother Nature and the turning of the seasons 🙂 ☀️

Very cool that you do this every year! The long shadows look great. I love any excuse to go outside and take pics. 🙂
