From Guanajuato Mexico . We took a tour around the city that took us to the Mummy Museum. Think long and hard before you go. It was not so much scary but sad to see dead people on display. This old guy looked tuff and fierce so I don’t mind sharing him for JNW Halloween Monster Challenge.

I spent a summer in Italy a few years back and we saw casts of the imprints bodies left in the lava in Pompeii/Herculaneum and it was all a bit too much for me.

I can believe it. Wow I always wonder about those peoples last minutes. Gives me cold chills.
My daughter who has a degree in Latino Mexican studies explained death is a big part of their culture in a way we don’t get. I believe her. Families were really enjoying them.

Well of course the best way to learn is to go there. Right now there is a lot about Day of The Dead an important event in Mexico.
