It just started raining here about the time Cee’s Rain and Rainbow Challenge arrived in my in box. The news tells us it’s a rain storm called the Pineapple Express because its straight from Hawaii. Here’s a photo my daughter sent me from one of the wettest places on Earth.
These photos are quite beautiful, Carol. The raindrops on the rose and the double delight are my absolute favorites today. Powerful portraits!

Thanks Allan, those roses are in my favorite file. I went to The Berkeley Camera Club Show and saw nothing I liked. Everything was over photoshopped till there was no life left in them Those steps you posted last week had so much more life.

Thanks, Carol. I still have trouble knowing whether to continue editing a photo or stop/back up a bit. Live & learn, if we’re lucky.

Learning something is unlearning. Berkeley folks sometimes I think they,we have gone to school way too long.

Maybe it’s a matter of thinking too much? Do you remeber that line in “Risky Business”: Sometimes you just have to say, what the F—”.

I, too, love the raindrops. I was interested to learn about the Pineapple Express. Here we bemoan the “Alberta Clipper” – a weather pattern sure to bring chilling winds and snow. Curt laughed at me. He thought I was making up that name – no, I was not.

Better to name these storms then we know who to be mad at. The Pineapple Express is a storm that comes from Hawaii.
