The Word prompt for today is Confident.
The six sculpted woman on the plaza Of Musée d’Orsay could not be more confident. In the sun, half clothed, they present themselves. Un apologetically, as representatives of their part of the World. I was smacked by their extraordinariness as we mortals wandered beneath their feet with our cameras and water bottles…what right have we to even touch the hem of their skirts. Which I did anyway.
I read there is something called the Paris Syndrome which causes people to come home from traveling abroad depressed and disappointed. I came home tired and foot sore, but full of joy and stories. And photos that I willingly poke in friend’s faces whether they want to see them or not. I brought the muses d’ Musée d’Orsay back from Paris. In my soul. Enjoy and pick your favorite. May they give you as much confidence as they give me.

I love this post, Carol! I too was intrigued with these women. I did a group photo when I was there, but see your excellence in making individual photos of each one. Bravo!

Thanks happy to share them with this fun prompt. The museum was closed so there wasn’t a crowd so I was able to get most of the girls. I think I missed one. That means we must go back, right 😀

Nice photos, Carol. I am mesmerized by the kangaroo and whatever his place is in the group.

You must be in my head. I took that photo for the kangaroo. I also like how she’s peeking round the corner.

Any ideas as to why the roo is in the sculpture?

I think it is representative of the South Pacific including Australia? My guess.
