Hum
Humming
Hummingbird
Hummingbird hum
High atop my ancient apricot tree.
By Carol Carlisle
Posted in response to Imaginary Garden with Real Toads prompt to write a tetracty poem whose pattern goes 1,2,3,4,10 syllables per line. Something to do with ancient Greek geometry of perfection. I hope I succeed. I also, wanted to give this photo of my resident hummingbird the jaunty poem he deserves.
This is fun! 😀

I love this. How clever of you to increase syllables on the same word, and infuse your description with sound.
