bright and shinning, My Dear.
Now we are in the browning time of Summer
Lost and forgotten is the freshening and
sweetness we shared.
Please, My Love, stay with me
until the rains comes again.
Today I came upon this photo of the Berkeley Hills taken after a rainy Spring and felt a sad longing. Now in Mid Summer, as usual, the hills are brown and the lakes empty. I don’t know what is different this year but the dry and browning sees to seep into everything, under doors and though closed curtains, but it does, however, make laughter and singing with friends all the more brighter.
FYI Something happened to Wonder Wednesday and it didn’t show up properly in the reader so if you are looking for it here it is.Wonder Wednesday 6 Staying Present.
So approiate!!!! Is so dry and turning brown here too. Was 104 today. Supposed to be hotter the next few days. Don’t you miss Oklahoma Carol?? lol

Our local paper’s weather page listed Enid as the hottest place in the country at 109, yesterday. That’s why I’ll stay in CA. among other things (Jim & Jessie). I put up that picture as a reminder of cool and hope for the world. Maybe I should have said something. I’m glad you got the point 🙂

Believe it or not, that picture resembles Oklahoma about 30 miles east of us. It gets mountainous and in the spring looks so much like that picture. Really beautiful.

Osage county does look a lot like that picture too. Very hilly. Eastern Oklahoma is more mountainous. We have a lot of beautful areas in the state of Oklahoma. One of my favorite sites though is the flat part of Oklahoma where we were raised when the wheat is golden brown and the wind is making it wavey. It’s just a beautiful site. I used to try and make it up there every summer just to see it before they harvested it. A sight to see!!!!! Do you remember it?

Who would have thought that the hills of Berkeley would look like the hills of England? Beautiful photo AND poem. May the green return 🙂

Oh yes, the coast just north of here looks like Ireland there is even a town called Inverness which I believe is Scotland. We are at a similar latitude. I took a photo today from the same spot and the hills are brown. November WILL bring the green!
