Ever Wonder Why We Dress Up For Halloween?
On October thirty-first
We need to protect ourselves is very plain,
Gooly Ghost and Zombies that come out upon a whim
when the veil between the worlds is thin.
These being with a bloody thirst
They’re not so smart
it seems they have no heart or brain.
All it takes
is to wear a cardboard mask, a silly hat
or to be a cat
and you’ll frighten them away.
Now all we need to do is
wonder who is scaring who today?
I know it’s whom
but it sounds so much better
to say whoo
on a day
when everyone is saying BOO!
And the lady wearing kale
is Sue!
