There are 35 days left in this 365 day challenge and I feel like I need to make sure I haven’t left any Light word out. Margo Roby’s Tuesday Tryouts suggested KINDNESS. Oh my that is a word the lightens everyone’s loads and might just be the wind beneath our wings as well as being a tasty treat.
The Kindest Fruit
Be tempted by the apple!
It is easily shared,
it gives itself freely, and
continually reminds us there is enough.
While passing one on our load is lightened.
He always comes to the garden with friends.
birds, squirrels. and numerous slithery creatures.
Then sits silently, willingly listening
to our cares and concerns,
sorrows and joy.
Showers us with sweet flowers
just when we begin to despair.
Apple is abundant kindness
dressed in red.

Then there is pie! but that another poem.
I’m eating a piece of the pumpkin pie my husband made yesterday. It’s the best pie I’ve ever had. Can you write a poem about pumpkin pie??? 😎

Good picture. Every time I see an apple I think of my Mother saying “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Don’t know how many times I heard her say that. Never figured out why though. lol

What? You train me to think of you as Carolisle and now you call yourself Carol! Okay, I’ll work on it. 🙂
The last two lines are wonderful and the photograph… I love the photograph. [mmmm… pie…]

I knew mention pie would get everyone’s attention. I guess I’ll have to have pie as a “Light word” even if it makes us heavy. Oh irony! Carolisle is the name of my other blog and it became my handle for my picture. Oh the mystery of WordPress! I think I’ll keep working on this poem keep the first and last lines as crust and redo the filling 🙂
