No Matter what shape our body our spirit wants to dance. It is one of the big birthdays for the owner of this beautiful creature. …I don’t know why the music video has such a strange opening picture, just click the arrow and get ready to do the Baby Elephant Walk from Hatari. For fun I started the both the videos at the same time so the swimming elephant seems to be dancing to the music of Henri Mancini.
Happy weekend and Happy Birthday Vickie!
For more Elephants visit Rainbow Bakery and she will show you her visit with pachyderms.
Thank you Carol! I remember this song it is so fun! And I absolutely adore the baby elephant going for a swim, doesn’t it look like it is having the time of its life?!
I actually did dance a bit, trying to get in a mini exercise session before dashing out yesterday. But I didn’t notice the idea of playing both videos at once until I’d run them separately. If you do that, you can hear a click sound and maybe a command from a trainer whenever the elephant tries to come out. And I thought the waves might have knocked it over, which isn’t much fun in my book. Seeing it as being playful is more pleasant, but I wondered if anyone besides me saw it differently. There are a few negative comments and questions on YouTube, but mostly people anthropomorphize the elephant in a positive way as cute, having the time of its life, smiling, etc. I’m not saying elephants aren’t really smart and sometimes playful, but I don’t think most people are experts at reading elephant body language, and there’s a chance this one is being exploited.

It looks to me like the elephant doesn’t think much of the salt water and would like to get out but someone keeps chasing it back in. – Debbie Downer

If you say so. If he really didn’t like it he wouldn’t be rolling and splashing in the water, DD 😉
