My poetry is an elephant hiding in the shadows, a big bright surprise every time it shows up.
My poetry is a clockwork mouse running beneath the furniture, it keeps me on my toes.
My poetry is a pair of well warren boots I put on in order to get the work done.
My poetry is a garden filled with songs and prayers and more than a few laughs.
My poetry is the air I breath, may it be always pure and fresh.
Carol Carlisle
All this is
Written on my phone
because the computers on the fritz
Which gives me fits so bad,
I may run away from home
Now is this a poem too?
Thanks Margo Rody for the prompt.

Of course it’s a poem… could even be a further metaphor involving the unstoppability of your verse. I love the title of your poem and how much you your poems are.

I have begun to like writing with this tiny hand held device there is an intimacy I don’t get with a big whirring machine.
I so appreciate your comments, they come from your well honed craft as teacher who you are in all you do.
Thank you D)

The elephant reminds me of a childhood favorite, Dumbo…Who dispite everything – flew.
Your words fly.

Love the surprise of the elephant. Nice photo (taken with your writing instrument?)
I tried to write using an ipod Touch. Even with downloaded writing apps it was a challenge. But you rose above it. Guess poetry really is half words and half constraints. (wonder if cell phones are better for prose poems. hmmm)

I do like writing with my iPhone in its soft pink case. It just fits my hand so nice. Thanks for the insight about constraint.
