    1. I’m told to let them dry. Last year I ate them in salads when I could catch them smaller.
      I keep expecting a giant to appear at the top 🙂

    1. It’s a scarlet runner and it either seeds itself or just doesn’t die out all the way. It’s California after all. This is the third year for it. Hardy plant for sure.
      Maybe we can find a fossil bean 😉

      1. Ah! California, that explains it. I’m north of the border in Ontario. Our beans are strictly annuals in these parts.

        I found a 1945 US penny in the pea patch, does that count as fossil? 😉
