Halloween Photo Treats

November 1st Is Day of the Dead

Halloween, Samhain, Day of the Dead all celebrate our Northern Hemisphere’s dive into the dark time of the year. We light candles and dress up as monsters and creatures of the night to prove we aren’t afraid of the dark. I was in Katmandu this time of year and was accosted by a pack of children dressed in scary costumes asking for treats. No they weren’t celebrating Halloween but Diwali which is a celebration of light in Nepal. So today I hunker down and wait for the promised rain that the dark winter treats us to on the West coast of the USA.
How are you celebrating the dive into dark or light where you are?

Thanks, Carol. When I saw what came out, I was mortified. Typing on an iPad can be very dangerous. Thanks for understanding!
