I know this doesn’t look much like a village. Think Global Village. This very day our first language student came to stay with us from Curitiba Brazil and brought this lovely book of illustrations of that city (village)
One of best things I believe that WordPress does is connect us with people from all over the world. Today I am so glad to have a real time young man from far away in our home in California.
We went out and had Tea in a Japanese Tea Shop.
Now Jakesprinters don’t you think these folks are part of a lovely village. Just think of the high rises as mountains!

opening your home to an International student seems like a win/win situation for everyone. have fun!

Carol, what is the name of the book? I love the pictures!
When my daughter was in high school, we took in an exchange student from Thailand for a year. Oom and I still communicate via Facebook, and I consider her my Thai daughter. It was a wonderful experience! I hope yours is as good as mine was.
