Sunshine, fresh air, a nice big lake in the middle of a town, and strong legs to walk around it: great resources we should never take for granted.

Jakesprinters suggested the theme resources. Fresh potable water is one the most valuable resources this plane has. Lake Merritt is only a few blocks away many sever urban problems making it not just a resource but a real treasure. Don’t get me wrong Oakland is a grand city with a great baseball team, Go A’s!  And a wonderful museum.

I took this picture on the way home from an exhibit dedicated to the year 1968 Avocado green sofas, orange lamps, Barbies, assassinations and civil unrest. What do you remember of that year? We who are old enough are our resources!
